Play Therapy
Play therapy is a trauma-sensitive, neurodiversity-affirming therapy. The Association for Play Therapy defines play therapy as "the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development." Pursuing the Registered Play Therapist credential means I have hundreds of hours of advanced training, experience, and consultation in therapy with children. Parent Coaching
Parenting provides us the unique, and sometimes painful, opportunity to examine our beliefs, values, and perhaps even our own unhealed wounds. Whether you’re a cycle-breaker seeking a steadying presence while you heal or an overwhelmed parent feeling out of your depth, I’m here to provide support, tools, and co-regulation (and probably a little humor). You deserve to feel joy and fulfillment in your parenting. As Rob Bell says, “The greatest gift you can give your kid is to be fully alive yourself.”

EMDR
I’m trained in attachment-focused EMDR which is an embodied way of processing traumatic memories that feel “stuck “ and don’t respond to traditional talk therapy. This video gives a brief explanation of EMDR and why it can help. I’m certified in EMDR which means I pursued additional training and consultation beyond the minimum requirements. EMDR can also be integrated with play therapy.
